Roasted Coffee - FAKE GEISHA 002
Fake Geisha 002 — SL9 Geisha Inca. Genetically, it isn't Geisha at all. What grows here as "Geisha" is Geisha Inca — a local mutation of SL9, an Ethiopian heirloom that has taken to Peru's Incahuasi Valley over decades. Not the famous Panamanian variety — and in the cup, no apology needed. That is the whole point of Fake Geisha: the name on the bag matters less than what is in it.
The Coffee
Sourced through APU Coffee Traceability Peru from Eudis Orosco and Victoria Atao, who farm Finca Bella Vista high in the Incahuasi Valley of Cusco with traditional Inca agroforestry — keeping old forest trees for shade and following the moon from planting to harvest. Roasted in Berlin by Kresten Thørgersen at Father Carpenter.
